Screening of the horror film Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 at Screenland Armour Theatre.
Screenland Armour Theatre is screening Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 on Friday, October 16, at 9:30 PM. It's the sequel to the 1987 horror classic, and it picks up right where the first one left off.
The story follows Kirsty, who's now confined to a mental hospital. She's convinced her supposedly dead father is actually stuck in Hell after his wife's betrayal, but almost no one believes her lurid stories. The one person who does is Dr. Channard, a thrill-seeker who's more interested in the possibility of the afterlife than in Kirsty's well-being. Undeterred, Kirsty eventually heads to Hell herself for a rescue, with the help of a fellow patient. It's a dark, surreal trip that takes the puzzle-box mythology of the first film and expands it into a full-blown descent into the underworld.
