Halloween Boo Bash

Halloween Boo Bash is coming to the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library on Saturday, October 24, from 1 PM to 3 PM. It's an in-person session open to all ages, so it works whether you're bringing the kids or just want to hang out for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

The afternoon is built around three things: games, Halloween science, and trick-or-treating. The games are the straightforward part, but the science side is where the library leans into the holiday theme, with activities that put a spooky spin on things. And since it's a Halloween event, there's trick-or-treating in the mix, so you can come as you are or show up in costume. The whole thing is open to all ages, which means it's just as much for the little ones as it is for the adults who still enjoy the holiday.

This is part of the library's Halloween Happenings series, which is how they're kicking off their Halloween celebrations this year. The Boo Bash is one of the events in that lineup, and it's held at the Plaza Branch, right in the middle of the city. If you're planning to go, there's one thing to keep in mind: the library may videotape and take photos at its events, and those could end up in their marketing and promotional communications. It's a standard heads-up for anyone who's not a fan of being on camera.

So, if you're looking for a way to get into the spirit a bit early, the Halloween Boo Bash runs from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, October 24, at the Plaza Branch.
