Reggae band Geese performs live with support from the acclaimed Easy Star All-Stars at The Midland Theatre.
Geese play The Midland Theatre on Friday, October 30, with Easy Star All-Stars opening. It's a stop on their Getting Killed Again tour, so the set will be built around the new material.
If you aren't familiar with the opener, Easy Star All-Stars are a New York City reggae band that's built a name on reimagining classic albums in a dub style. Their best-selling tributes include Dub Side of the Moon (2003), Radiodread (2006), Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009), and Easy Star's Thrillah (2012), along with the remix album Dubber Side of the Moon (2010). Those records brought together fans of reggae, classic rock, dub, and indie rock, and the band has toured more than 30 countries across six continents. One of their bigger moments came in 2009 at Glastonbury, where they played three days across three different stages and walked away with a UK Festy Award nomination.
