Theme nights with wine, classic cocktails and featured TV dinners at The Wolf Den, with game and book club nights.
The Wolf Den is leaning into mid-week nights with a new series of game and book club meetups, running every Wednesday through December 2026. The centerpiece is the featured TV dinner—a nod to the classic frozen tray, served up as a full meal—which means you can keep your focus on the game or the book discussion without having to juggle a complicated dinner. The drinks menu is built around wine and classic cocktails, and the room holds one of the largest whiskey lists in the region.
If you're more of a reader than a gamer, there's a specific night for that: the Spines & Vines Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month. It's a dedicated slot for the book-focused crowd, so you've got a regular date on the calendar rather than having to coordinate a new time every single month. The rest of the Wednesdays are open for game nights, so whether you're bringing your own group or just looking for a spot to hang out mid-week, it's a consistent option through the end of the year.

The Wolf Den is one of four venues under the Belfry Collective, Kansas City's destination for award-winning dining, craft cocktails, whiskey, and private events. It was founded by James Beard Award-winning chef Celina Tio alongside The Belfry, Gerard's Pool Hall, and Ground Control. The room itself has a mid-century vibe, and the original bar and kitchen seat up to 38, with a total capacity of 50. The space breaks down into a number of nooks of varying sizes, and the venue is happy to set aside a cozy area for groups who run their own book club there. The whole thing is built for lingering: the TV dinner keeps you focused on the table, and the nooks give you a place to settle in. The series runs every Wednesday through December 2026, with Spines & Vines on the third Wednesday of the month.
