Freaks

Screenland Armour Theatre is screening Freaks on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 PM. It's the 1932 cult film, and seeing it in a theater is the way it was meant to be watched.

For those who haven't seen it, the story centers on a circus' beautiful trapeze artist who agrees to marry the leader of a troupe of side-show performers. The twist comes when his deformed friends discover she's only marrying him for his inheritance. It's a movie that's built its reputation on that specific, unsettling tension, and it's one of those titles that tends to stick with you long after the credits roll.

If you're coming from outside North Kansas City, the theater is at 408 Armour Rd, North Kansas City, MO 64116. The screening starts at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 19.
