Indie-folk and Americana singer-songwriter Evan Honer performs live with Sam Burchfield and Andrew Lucier at The Truman.
Evan Honer plays The Truman on Tuesday, November 3, with Sam Burchfield and Andrew Lucier opening. Honer is an indie-folk and Americana singer-songwriter who first made a name for himself with a cover of Tyler Childers' "Jersey Giant," which has since racked up more than 200 million streams and earned an RIAA gold certification. He's since built his own catalog, starting with his debut album, West On I-10, which he released on his graduation day, and following it with Fighting For, recorded on the road during his first national tour.
Now based in Nashville, Honer's most recent work is Everything I Wanted, which he cut over 18 days in a garage studio he built himself. He describes the record as drawing on indie and alternative-pop influences, and he brought in local collaborators like Kate Stephenson to help shape it. He runs his own label, Cloverdale Records, and the two openers, Sam Burchfield and Andrew Lucier, will set the stage before he takes over.
