DJ Ashton Martin

DJ Ashton Martin is playing TIVOL on Wednesday, October 14, starting at 8 PM. If you've spent any time in the Kansas City club scene over the last decade, you've likely seen his name on a bill. Martin is a Westphalia native who grew up in the music industry and started his training young, and he's built his reputation on the kind of high-energy, open-format sets that keep a dance floor moving across different genres in a single night. He describes his approach as turning a performance into a party of epic proportions, and that quick mixing between styles is his trademark.

He's held residencies at a long list of Kansas City spots: Westport Ale House, Aura, Yard Bar, Johnny Kaw's, The Well, RA Sushi, Zocalo Tequilaria, and Ainsworth. Beyond the local circuit, he's played Studio 54 in Las Vegas and Rehab and Parliament in Omaha. He's also worked with a wide range of acts, including Girl Talk, The Cataracts, Journey, R. Kelly, Lil Jon, Diplo, and Foreigner, and he appeared at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game here in Kansas City.
