Concert by Demola, a Nigerian-born multi-instrumentalist who fuses classical technique with Afrobeats, pop, R&B and hip-hop.
Demola plays The Truman on Friday, October 16, as part of his D Fearless Tour 2, which has been on the road since December 2025. He's a Nigerian-born multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and record producer who works as a violinist, and the show is built around that: he blends classical technique with Afrobeats, pop, R&B, hip-hop, gospel, and cinematic orchestration. If you're not sure what that sounds like, it's a violin playing over beats and grooves rather than a chamber ensemble.
Demola was born in Lagos and is now based in Houston, Texas. He's self-taught and has played for audiences all over, including singing the national anthem for the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Stadium in front of more than 35,000 people and for the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center. He also sold out his own self-produced FAC-TOUR at Houston's Hobby Center. From 2018 to 2022, he was the official violinist for Tony! Toni! Toné! and Dwayne Wiggins. This is his fourth headlining tour, and he also runs the Ade Music Foundation.
