Live blues-rock variety show with Darren Dowler at VOO Lounge, with singalong and light bites. No cover charge.
Darren Dowler plays VOO Lounge on Friday, October 9, at 8 PM. It's a straight-ahead show, and he's the only name on the bill.
Dowler is a variety performer who works from two ends of the stage at once: he sings powerhouse blues-rock and plays guitar. His career has spanned decades, and along the way he's shared the stage with Paul Revere and the Raiders, Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers, Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, and Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night. That's a lot of ground to cover, and it puts the variety part of the description in context.

The night is billed as a variety show, and the singalong is part of the plan, so it's not just a performance you watch from your seat. Light bites will be available throughout the evening, and there's no cover charge. It starts at 8 PM at VOO Lounge in Kansas City.
