An overnight adventure for Cub Scouts featuring night hikes, s'mores, camping, and STEM activities at the zoo.
Cub Scout Night at the Zoo is back at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium on Friday, November 6, for an overnight adventure that runs from 6 PM through 8 AM the next morning. It's built for Cub Scouts: night hikes, s'mores, and camping, plus eight activity stations that help scouts of all ages work toward a variety of badges while learning about STEM and conservation. The whole thing takes place after sunset, so the zoo feels like a different place once the crowds go home.
It's an outdoor campout, which means you'll be sleeping under the stars. You'll need to bring your own tent and sleeping bag, and everyone has to arrive by 6 PM to get settled before the night's activities kick off. If the weather turns, the group moves to an indoor location, so the night happens regardless of what the forecast says. The Zoo is also in the middle of redesigning its scouts program to make it more interactive for scouts across the Kansas City community, and this is one of the events that fits into that.

It's $55 per person for the outdoor campout, and the Zoo is at 6800 Zoo Dr, Kansas City, MO 64132. If you're planning to go, keep that 6 PM arrival time in mind.
