Presentation by the League of Women Voters Kansas City on ballot questions for the November 3 Missouri election.
The League of Women Voters Kansas City is hosting a presentation on the upcoming Missouri ballot on Saturday, October 10, at the Lucile H. Bluford Branch Conference Center. It runs from 10 to 11 AM, and the whole point is to help you work through the five ballot questions that will be on the November 3 Missouri ballot.
Those five questions cover a lot of ground, and they're the kind of things that can be hard to parse on your own. One could restrict reproductive healthcare, another is about protecting citizen initiatives, and a third would create a state-run endowment fund. There's also a question that would restrict the ability of local authorities to remove sheriffs from office, and one that would reject partisan redistricting. That's five different issues to wrap your head around before you head to the polls.
The League is running this as a way to break them down and walk through them, so you can go into the voting booth knowing exactly what you're agreeing or disagreeing with. It's a good spot to get your questions answered and get a clearer sense of how each one actually works before November 3 rolls around.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Kansas City and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
