Concert by the San Diego indie-pop trio almost monday, with support from feel trip, at The Truman.
almost monday play The Truman on Wednesday, November 18, with feel trip opening. It's a mid-week show in the middle of the month, so it's one of those nights you have to actually put on your calendar rather than just remembering it's coming up.
If you haven't come across them yet, almost monday is a San Diego indie-pop trio — Dawson Daugherty on vocals, Luke Fabry on bass and keys, and Cole Clisby on guitar. The whole thing started in a local surf shop and came out in 2020 with the single "broken people," which hit the Top 20 on Alternative Radio and later got a Sofi Tukker remix. Their 2021 EP 'til the end of time picked up praise from Alternative Press, Forbes, People, GQ Australia, Earmilk, Flaunt and Ones To Watch, and they followed it with the single "cool enough."
In 2022 they put out "sunburn," "sun keeps on shining," and the fan favorite "cough drops," and in 2023 they reunited with The Driver Era at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Their debut album DIVE came out in 2024, leaning on California-inspired melodies and danceable grooves. "Can't Slow Down" hit number one on Billboard Alternative Airplay, and their music has landed more than 50 syncs across sports and lifestyle, including ESPN, MLB and the Vans US Open.
