A pirate-themed dining experience with a buffet, interactive show, and boat ride at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.
A Pirate's Feast at GloWild is running at The Boathouse inside the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium on Friday, October 17, as part of the zoo's larger GloWild event. It's a family-friendly dining package that takes over The Boathouse with a crew of pirates, interactive entertainment, and a few swashbuckling surprises. The Boathouse sits along the waterfront in the zoo's Africa area, so you're dining right by the water.
The meal is a pirate-themed buffet of savory favorites, and there's a separate Lil Buccaneers Table with kid-friendly selections for the younger ones. While you eat, a live interactive pirate show plays out around you, and if the weather holds, you'll get a Kenyan Cruise boat ride. There's also a cash bar serving cocktails and mocktails, so you can grab a drink to go with your plate.
Once the feast is over, you're left to explore the rest of GloWild: Hidden Treasure, the glowing light display that runs throughout the zoo. The feast is just one part of the evening, so you can make a night of it and wander through the lights after you've had your fill.

It runs from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, and capacity is limited to 120 guests per time slot, so you'll want to book ahead. Tickets are $42 for children and seniors and $55 for adults. The feast runs on Fridays and Saturdays throughout GloWild, from September 12 through October 24, 2026.
