A classic holiday theatrical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novella, directed by Darrington Clark and presented by KCRep at the Spencer Theatre.
KCRep brings A Christmas Carol back to the Spencer Theatre starting November 21, 2026, as part of their 2026/27 season. It's a production that's become a local holiday tradition, following Ebenezer Scrooge on his redemptive journey through Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Along the way, you'll find the Cratchits, Tiny Tim, and the Fezziwigs, with the Candlelight Carol carried through the show.
This version is adapted by Jason Chanos and Stuart Carden from Charles Dickens' novella and directed by Artistic Associate Darrington Clark. Mark Robbins takes the role of Scrooge. It's a production built around the themes of compassion and courage, and it's one of several shows in the company's current season. That season also includes Come From Away, which marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and John Proctor is the Villain, which took Broadway by storm in 2025 and makes KCRep one of the first regional theatres to stage it.
