Family-friendly Halloween trunk or treat with decorated car trunks, treats and festive activities for young children at Krannert Park.
Krannert Park is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 24, in the park's parking lot at 605 South High School Road in Indianapolis. It's a family-friendly, Halloween-themed event run by Indy Parks staff, and it's aimed at an early childhood audience.
If you've never done a trunk or treat, the format is pretty straightforward: people park their cars in a row and decorate their open trunks with Halloween themes, and the kids go from car to car to collect treats. It's a bit like trick-or-treating, but all in one spot rather than walking the neighborhood, which makes it a lot easier to manage with little ones. Along with the decorated trunks and the candy, there will be festive activities for the kids to do while you're there.

The focus is on the early childhood crowd, so it's a good fit if you've got toddlers or preschoolers who are just getting into the Halloween spirit. The whole thing takes place in the Krannert Park parking lot, so you'll be right there at 605 South High School Road in Indianapolis. It's happening on Saturday, October 24.
