Story time session for babies and toddlers up to age three and their adult at the Southport Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Tot Art is back at the Southport Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, December 2, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. It's a story time session for babies and toddlers up to age three, and they'll need an adult with them.
If you're new to the branch, it's at 2630 East Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis. The Southport Branch has a bit of a story behind it: it started in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center. When the current 15,700-square-foot building opened on East Stop 11 Road in 1974, it arrived with more than $5,000 in books donated by a group of Perry Township residents who had been fundraising for the move. That's a lot of books for a new branch to start with, and it's a nice reminder of the community that helped get it off the ground.

Tot Art itself is one of those simple, reliable library programs for the youngest crowd. It's a story time session for babies and toddlers up to age three, and you'll need to bring an adult along. It runs for half an hour, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, so it's a quick outing that fits into a morning without taking over the whole day. If you've got a little one in that age range, it's a good way to get them around books and other kids. You can find the Southport Branch at 2630 East Stop 11 Road, and the session is on Wednesday, December 2, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
