A comical musical feast that embraces the wackiness of the Addams family, following Wednesday Addams as she navigates love and family secrets.
Epsilon Theatrical Company is bringing The Addams Family Musical to Broadway United Methodist Church starting Friday, October 16. It's a Halloween-themed production that runs through October 25, so you've got a couple of weekends to fit it in.
The story centers on Wednesday Addams, the self-styled ultimate princess of darkness, who's grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. Distressed, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother, which forces Gomez Addams to do something he's never done before: keep a secret from his beloved Morticia. Everything changes for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents. Epsilon bills it as a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family.
There are six performances in total, spread across two weekends. The first run is Friday, October 16 at 7 PM; Saturday, October 17 at 2 PM and 7 PM; and Sunday, October 18 at 3 PM. The second run follows on Friday, October 23 at 7 PM; Saturday, October 24 at 2 PM and 7 PM; and Sunday, October 25 at 3 PM. If you're looking for a matinee, the Saturday and Sunday slots work; otherwise, the 7 PM shows on Friday and Saturday are your best bet.
