Preschool and toddler storytime with stories, fingerplays, crafts and activities at the Michigan Road Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Storytime is back at the Michigan Road Branch on Tuesday, December 1, from 10:30 to 11:15 AM. It's a session for preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers, and it mixes stories with fingerplays, crafts, and activities. If you've got little ones at home, it's a good way to spend a Tuesday morning.
For those who aren't as familiar with the spot, the Michigan Road Branch is a 20,000-square-foot library that opened in December 2018. It was built to bring library services and collections closer to the neighborhood, and it's got dedicated spaces for children, teens, and adults, along with more computers and a large community room. The branch is located at 6201 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
As for the session itself, it's designed for the youngest crowd. The mix of stories, fingerplays, crafts, and activities means it's not just sitting and listening—there's plenty for kids to do with their hands while they follow along. And since it's for preschoolers and toddlers, it's meant to be a shared thing you do with them, rather than a drop-off.
