Preschool and toddler storytime with stories, fingerplays, crafts and activities at the Michigan Road Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Storytime at Michigan Road is back at the Indianapolis Public Library Michigan Road Branch on Tuesday, October 20, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. It's a session built for preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers, and it fills the forty-five minutes with stories, fingerplays, crafts, and activities. The whole thing is free, and there's no registration required—you just show up with your little ones.
If you're not familiar with the branch, it's at 6201 North Michigan Road. The building opened in December 2018 as a 20,000-square-foot space meant to bring services and collections closer to the neighborhood. It has dedicated areas for children, teens, and adults, more computers than the older branches, and a large community room that hosts events like this. It's a good spot to hang out in between the storytelling and the crafts, especially if you've got a toddler who needs a bit of room to move around.

Storytime is one of those easy morning things to slot into the week. The session runs from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, so it's a short window that fits right before lunch. Since it's aimed at preschoolers and toddlers, it's designed for the youngest kids in the house and the adults who bring them along. You'll get stories and fingerplays, and the crafts and activities keep things moving so the kids aren't just sitting still the whole time. And because no registration is required, you don't have to worry about signing up in advance—just head over to the Michigan Road Branch on Tuesday morning.
