Storytime session for babies up to 24 months and an adult, followed by playtime with special toys, at the Glendale Branch.
Storytime at Glendale - Babies is back at the Glendale Branch on Thursday, October 22, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It's part of the library's Story Time series, and this particular session is for babies up to 24 months and an adult. The reading is followed by playtime with special toys, so there's a bit more to it than just sitting and listening.
If you're new to the branch, it's worth knowing where it sits. The Glendale Branch serves the Broad Ripple community, which has had library service across several sites since 1930. The first stand-alone library in the area opened in 1949, and a larger branch followed in Broad Ripple Park in 1986. The Glendale Branch that made its name opened in 2000 inside Glendale Mall, making it the country's first full-service library located in a major shopping mall. In 2024, a new 24,800-square-foot branch opened on the site of the former John Strange Elementary School, which is where you'll find this session.
