Storytime session for babies up to 24 months and an adult, followed by playtime with special baby toys.
Storytime at Glendale - Babies is back at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Thursday, December 17, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It's part of the library's Story Time series, and this particular session is aimed at babies up to 24 months and an adult. The format is simple: a storytime session followed by playtime with special toys designed for babies, so you get both the reading and some time for the little ones to just be little.
If you haven't been to the Glendale Branch in a while, it's worth knowing it's in a new spot. The branch has served the Broad Ripple community since 1930, with a stand-alone building opening in 1949. For a long time, it was inside Glendale Mall—the first full-service library in a major shopping mall in the country—but in 2024 it moved to a new 24,800-square-foot space at the site of the former John Strange Elementary School. It's a big, dedicated building now, rather than a storefront in the mall.
