Reading with a Witch: A Big Chair Story Time

Reading with a Witch: A Big Chair Story Time is coming to Indy Reads on Sunday, October 18, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The session is presented by the Black Hat Society, and it's just what it sounds like: a witchy story time filled with stories, magic, and Halloween fun. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged, so it's a good one to bring the kids along for if you're looking for something to do that morning.

Indy Reads is the city's community bookstore, located at 1066 Virginia Ave in Indianapolis. It's a nonprofit founded in 1984 with a mission of "100% Literacy For All," and it runs on a Community Classrooms model. They hold pay-what-you-can book events, with the profits going toward improving community literacy. Beyond the bookstore, they offer free ELL, HSE, and workforce development programs virtually, on-site at their Fountain Square location, and in Community Classrooms across Indianapolis. Much of that work relies on volunteers.

So, if you're in the mood for some Halloween spirit, you can find the Black Hat Society at Indy Reads on Sunday, October 18, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.
