Free public recital by the Butler University Piano Studio, with a program ranging from traditional to new repertoire and a live stream.
The Butler University Piano Studio is putting on a recital at the Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall on Sunday, November 8, starting at 2 PM. It's a showcase of the studio's students, so the program is a mix of traditional repertoire and newer works. You'll hear the older, more familiar pieces alongside more recent compositions, with different students taking turns at the keys throughout the afternoon.
That's the core of it: a varied program that pulls from both ends of the piano tradition. The studio's recitals are open to the public, so you don't need to be a student or faculty member to come along. It's a good way to see what the piano students have been working on this term, with the afternoon moving from the classics to the newer stuff.
