Family-friendly Halloween evening at Broad Ripple Park with a costume contest, moonlight egg hunt, dance party and games with prizes.
Broad Ripple Park is hosting the Monster Mash Family Dance Party on Saturday, October 24, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's one of the Halloween activities Indy Parks and Recreation puts on at the park, and it's built for families to spend a few hours together on a Saturday night.
There's a fair amount packed into those two hours. The evening includes a Halloween costume contest, a moonlight egg hunt, a family dance party, and games with prizes. Costumes are encouraged, so it's a good excuse to get the kids dressed up and let them show off their outfits. The session is open to ages two and up, so it works for toddlers and older children alike.

One thing to keep in mind: this isn't a walk-up event. Both adults and children have to register in advance, and space is limited, so you'll want to get your spot early rather than waiting until the week of. It's $11 per person, with discounts for families registering more than four people. The party runs from 6 PM to 8 PM at Broad Ripple Park, 1550 Broad Ripple Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
