Holiday concert with classic carols and festive songs from around the world performed by Indy Voice and Master Chorale.
Indy Voice and Master Chorale are performing together at Second Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12, for the ICC season concert Angels Sing Connection. Both nights start at 7 PM, so you've got two chances to catch it if one date doesn't work for you.
The program is built around classic carols and festive songs from around the world, and the two groups share the stage rather than taking separate turns. It's a holiday concert in the traditional sense, leaning on the carols and seasonal songs that most of us recognize from years of family gatherings and church services, but with the added layer of having two choirs singing them together.
That's the main thing to keep in mind here: the combination of Indy Voice and Master Chorale. When they perform together, the sound changes from a single choir to a much larger ensemble, which is a different experience than hearing either group on its own. The program doesn't stray far from the carols and festive songs that define the season, so you'll hear the familiar melodies you'd expect from a holiday concert, just sung by a larger group than usual.
