Acoustic musician Hunter Wainscott performs live at Tin Roof in Indianapolis.
Hunter Wainscott plays Tin Roof in Indianapolis on Tuesday, October 20. He's an acoustic artist from Indiana, and the set is built around guitar, harmonica, and vocals rooted in the everyday lives of his listeners. He's been performing since 2018, and over those years he's opened for The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, Henry Lee Summer, and Myron Elkins and the Henhouse Prowlers.
His 2020 debut EP showed early signs of the style he's come to, and his first solo project in February 2024, with songs like "Shape of a Hand" and "Old Souls," solidified his place as a rising acoustic voice. In 2023, he recorded at the Norman & Vi Petty Studio in Clovis, New Mexico, a historic venue that hosted Buddy Holly, The Fireballs, and Roy Orbison. He lives in Nashville, Indiana, with his wife and children, and this show comes as he prepares to embark on a Southwest tour.
