Weekly Tuesday morning storytime session for babies, toddlers and preschoolers at the Wayne Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Family Storytime is back at the Wayne Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, December 1, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. It's part of the library's children's programming, and the session is aimed at babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, so it's a good fit if you've got little ones at home. The session runs every Tuesday at 10:30 AM, which makes it easy to turn into a regular thing rather than a one-off.
If you haven't spent much time there, the Wayne Branch is at 198 South Girls School Road in Indianapolis. It's a branch with some history behind it: it first opened in December 1969 as a storefront in a shopping center at 7341 Rockville Road, and that storefront was enlarged in 1973. In 1984, it moved into the permanent 13,500-square-foot building it still occupies today. A $1.1 million renovation in 2020 added more seating, activity space, study rooms, and a quiet reading area, and it kept the split design with separate children's and adult wings—which is handy when you're there with kids and want to stay in the wing meant for them.
