Concert by the Los Angeles space rock trio Failure at The Vogue Theatre, with special guest quannnic.
Failure play The Vogue Theatre on Tuesday, October 20, with quannnic opening. The Los Angeles trio—Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards, and Kelli Scott—reunited in 2014 after a 17-year hiatus and have put out four albums since then, including 2021's Wild Type Droid and 2024's Location Lost, which they describe as their most varied record yet. The band is widely associated with weight, density, and mass, and they're still active after thirty years of space rock.
There's a bit of a story behind the reunion, too. They made a documentary and concert film that chronicles their drug-marred breakup and their second life together. Location Lost closes with the acoustic "The Rising Skyline," recorded with Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, who also appeared in the 2023 film.
