Grammy-nominated singer Joan Osborne performs her reinterpretations of Bob Dylan's songs from her album 'Songs of Bob Dylan'.
Joan Osborne is playing the Shelton Auditorium on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8 PM. The whole night is built around one thing: her singing the songs of Bob Dylan. It's not a mixed bill; it's a full evening dedicated to his catalog.
This isn't a new project for her. Back in 2017, Osborne released Songs of Bob Dylan, an album of her reinterpretations of Dylan's writing that earned her a Grammy nomination and a lot of critical attention. It became a defining moment in her career, and she's been touring it ever since. Eight years later, on April 25, 2025, she put out Dylanology Live, a recording of her performing those songs on stage with special guests Amy Helm, Robert Randolph, and Jackie Greene. That live record includes 'Spanish Harlem Incident,' 'Buckets Of Rain,' 'Masters Of War,' 'Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You,' and 'High Water (For Charley Patton).' The show at the Shelton is a continuation of that same work.
Osborne has been recording and performing for three decades now, and she's never stayed in one genre. She's picked up multiple Grammy nominations along the way, and the Dylan project is often cited as a testament to her range. Hearing her take on his songs is a good way to get a sense of how she worksβtaking a writer as singular as Dylan and finding her own way through the material.

It's a single-artist bill, so the whole night is her. The show is at the Shelton Auditorium, part of the Butler Arts Center in Indianapolis, on Saturday, October 17, starting at 8 PM.
