Bilingual storytime in Spanish for preschoolers, families, babies and toddlers at the Spades Park Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Bilingual Storytime is coming to the Spades Park Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Saturday, November 14, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. It's a storytime session in Spanish, and it's aimed at preschoolers, families, babies, and toddlers. If you've got little ones at home, it's a good way to spend a Saturday morning.
The session is held at the Spades Park Branch, one of the city's Carnegie libraries. It was built with a $120,000 grant from the Andrew Carnegie Foundation and opened in 1912, just six months after the East Washington Branch—the only other Carnegie library still standing in Indianapolis. The 7,500-square-foot building went through a $610,000 renovation in 1987 and celebrated its centenary in 2012. It's a neighborhood spot with a bit of history behind it.
