Bilingual storytime session in Spanish for preschoolers, families, babies and toddlers at the Eagle Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Bilingual Storytime comes to the Eagle Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, October 27, from 7 PM to 7:30 PM. It's a Spanish-language storytime session, and it's aimed at preschoolers, families, babies, and toddlers, so it's a good fit if you've got little ones at home and want to get them around the language.
The Eagle Branch is part of the Indianapolis Public Library, and it's got a long history in the community. It first opened in 1960 as a storefront branch at 30th Street and Lafayette Road—the system's first branch located in a shopping center—after local residents petitioned for a permanent library. A stand-alone facility at 3325 Lowry Road opened in 1970 with 12,000 square feet, and on June 1, 2019, that was replaced by the current 20,000-square-foot building at 3905 Moller Road, which is where you'll find this session. The branch has grown from that first storefront to a full-scale facility over the decades, and it's still serving the same neighborhood.
