Free evening screening of Disney's Zootopia under the oaks amidst Westminster UMC's seasonal pumpkin patch.
Westminster United Methodist Church is hosting a free evening screening of Disney's Zootopia on Saturday, October 24, in Uptown Houston. It's an outdoor showing, with the screen set up under the oaks on the church grounds, and the timing puts it right in the middle of the church's seasonal pumpkin patch.
If you haven't seen Zootopia, it's the one where a rabbit cop and a cynical fox team up to solve a missing-mammals case in a city where every animal species lives together. It's a movie that works for kids but holds up for adults, too, and watching it outside under the trees changes the whole feel of it. The pumpkin patch around the screening adds a bit of a fall backdrop to the evening, so it's as much about the setting as it is about the movie.

Since it's an outdoor screening, you'll want to bring your own seating—think blankets, lawn chairs, or whatever you're comfortable in for a couple of hours. It's a free event, so it's an easy one to pull together for a family night or a low-key evening with friends. The screening is in the evening on Saturday, October 24, at Westminster United Methodist Church in Uptown, and admission is free.
