Concert featuring the Canadian indie rock band Wine Lips with support from Heathers at the historic Dan Electro's venue.
Wine Lips and Heathers play Dan Electro's on Saturday, October 17, with doors opening at 8 PM. It's a double bill that puts the Toronto band in the Heights for one night.
Wine Lips started in Toronto in 2015 as a part-time project between songwriter and vocalist Cam Hilborn and drummer Aurora Evans. From there, they grew into an international act. Their debut album took them across North America, followed by an unexpected 2018 tour of Hong Kong and China. Stressor arrived in 2019 to rave reviews, with several songs landing in broadcast and Netflix series. Their third album, Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party (2021), drew more than 250 press features across 35 countries and has approached 20 million Spotify spins. Their latest record, Super Mega Ultra, was recorded by Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack in Ontario, and the band is touring in support of TV Dinner.
They'll be sharing the bill with Heathers, so you've got two acts in one night. The venue is Dan Electro's, 1031 E. 24th, in the Heights. It's been a neighborhood stage since 1988, when a bungalow became one of the city's most storied listening rooms—Greg Allman, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan and even Richard Gere have played there.
