UV Lights Paint Experience with Creative Art Classes

Studio 786 is hosting a UV painting session tonight, Wednesday, October 14, starting at 7 PM. It's a two-hour class where you paint with fluorescent neon colors in a blacklight studio, so everything you put on the canvas glows under ultraviolet light. Unlike a typical painting class, the neon paints react to the UV, turning every brushstroke into something luminous. The whole thing is set up as a social, nightlife-inspired atmosphere, and they describe it as being more about creativity, self-expression, and having fun than getting it perfect.

It's open to all skill levels, so you don't need to have picked up a brush before to join in. Instructors will walk you through ultraviolet pigment blending, base layering, and blacklight illumination techniques, so you'll get a feel for how to work with these specific materials. The supplies they provide are ultraviolet-reactive acrylics and fluorescent dyes, which you'll apply using blacklight-sensitive markers, neon pastes, and glow-in-the-dark mediums. You'll be working with materials that are designed to pop under the blacklights, rather than just sitting on the canvas.
