Live music with Track and Tracks, plus Taco Tuesday, at Axelrad Beer Garden.
Track and Tracks are playing Axelrad on Tuesday, October 6, as part of the venue's weekly Open Mic series. It's a bit of a transatlantic pairing: Track comes from Dijon, France, and Tracks is based in New Hampshire. The night is called "Track, Tracks, and Taco Tuesday," which gives you the whole run of things in one go—the two acts, the date, and the tacos.
Axelrad is at 1517 Alabama Street, and the Open Mic series is hosted by Marley Moon and Luis Olveda. It's one of several regular nights the room runs throughout the year, so if you've been there for one of the other series, you know the drill. The venue books across the board—jazz, soul, blues, Latin, indie, electronic, experimental, world, ska, punk, pop, rock, and classical—so the room changes depending on who's on the bill. This particular night fits into the Open Mic slot, which is one of the weekly and monthly series they keep on the calendar.
For context, Axelrad runs a few other regulars you might recognize: the free comedy night "Punchline" hosted by Jeff Joe, "Jazz Wednesdays" with rotating local jazz guests, "Cumbia Libre," a free Cumbia dance night on the second Friday of each month, "Axelsad," an in-house Emo night, and "glitch Garden," a monthly video-game and electronic-music experience in the garden. This Tuesday is part of the Open Mic series, so it's a different side of the room than the comedy or the Emo night.
