A weekly toddler series at Discovery Green featuring interactive story time, character meet-and-greets, crafts, and activities themed around Millicent the Corgi.
Discovery Green is hosting another Toddler Tuesday on Tuesday, October 13, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This one is all about corgis, with Millicent the Corgi as the guest of honor. The morning centers on the book Chronicles of a Corgi: Meet Millicent by Jenna Lindley, so if you've got a little one who's into dogs, this is a pretty easy win.
Toddler Tuesday is a weekly series at Discovery Green built around reading and imagination, and each session follows a different theme and character. Millicent is just one part of the rotation—other mornings feature Miss Frizzle from The Magic School Bus, Houston sports mascots, and Toy Story's Woody and Buzz. The sessions run about two hours and pair an interactive story time, read by students from Kinder HSPVA, with costumed character meet-and-greets, crafts, soft play equipment from Toddler Towns, and activities from Collab Lab. There's also a book giveaway donated by the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation, so you'll walk away with something to read at home.
Discovery Green itself is a 12-acre outdoor venue in the heart of downtown Houston, and it's home to a wide range of free public programming, including fitness classes, family activities, markets, and music series. This particular session takes place at the Cullen Veranda, so you'll be under cover rather than out in the open.
