Meet and greet signing session for Tobe Nwigwe's new album The Bridge at Cactus Music.
Tobe Nwigwe is doing a meet and greet and signing session at Cactus Music on Saturday, October 10, starting at 3 PM. It's a straightforward afternoon: he'll be there in person to sign copies of his new album, The Bridge, and chat with people who stop by. If you've been following him, it's a good chance to get a physical copy of the record signed by the artist himself.
The Bridge comes out this Friday, October 9, so the signing happens just one day after the album drops. Nwigwe is a Houston rapper and singer who keeps his operation close to home, releasing through his own label, Tobe Nwigwe LLC. His music is rooted in his upbringing in Alief, and he doesn't shy away from the specifics of that life. He writes autobiographical tracks that bring up gang violence and street life, but he balances that with songs about faith and the importance of family—two sides of the same story.
That Alief connection is a big part of who he is, and it's something you can hear in the way he talks about the city. The Bridge is the latest chapter in that, and this session is one of the first ways he's bringing it out into the community. Since the album is brand new, this is as close to the release as you can get.

One thing to keep in mind: capacity at Cactus Music is limited, so if you're planning to go, it's worth getting there early. The signing is on Saturday, October 10, at 3 PM.
