Austin band Nether Hour performs live at the historic Dan Electro's guitar bar in Houston's North Heights.
Nether Hour are playing Dan Electro's on Thursday, October 8, from 8 PM to 11 PM. They're an Austin band, so this is a trip across the state line for them, and they'll be the only act on the bill.
If you haven't spent much time there, Dan Electro's is in Houston's North Heights at 1031 E 24th St. It's been a listening room since 1988, when a Heights bungalow was converted into a venue. Over the years, the stage has seen Greg Allman, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Ray Vaughan and even Richard Gere. The room still carries that spirit, with vintage booths to settle into and a Tuesday open Music Jam & Mixer. Its stage has hosted a robust mix of Texas country, rock, blues, jazz and indie, and the venue positions itself as an incubator for live music, supporting Houston's musicians and offering shows with no cover to help grow the local scene.

Nether Hour will be taking that stage on a Thursday night, with the set running from 8 PM to 11 PM. It's a single-band bill, so the whole night belongs to them. If you're coming from outside the neighborhood, you'll find them in the North Heights, just off E 24th St. The show is free, with no cover at the door.
