Community kickball game with no prior experience needed, where organisers split the group into two teams on the spot at Hennessy Park.
The Game Night HTX is hosting a kickball game at Hennessy Park on Saturday, October 17, from 1 PM to 4 PM. It's a community game, and the organizers describe it as "bringing the city together, one game at a time."
The whole thing is built around the nostalgia of the school playground, taking it back to the feel of recess. You don't need any experience to join in, and you don't need to bring a pre-formed team. Everyone signs a quick waiver on the day, and the organizers split the group into two teams on the spot. If you haven't played since elementary school, you're in the right place.
Spots are limited to 30, so it's a small enough group that you'll actually get to play rather than just standing around in the outfield. There are prizes for the winners, too. When the game wraps up, the afternoon continues next door at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, where drinks are 21+.

It's a straightforward afternoon: kickball at the park, then drinks with the people you just played against. The game runs from 1 PM to 4 PM at Hennessy Park, 1900 Lyons Ave, Houston, TX 77020.
