Cosmic country-rock band Teddy & The Rough Riders perform live at the Axelrad Beer Garden.
Teddy & The Rough Riders play Axelrad on Thursday, October 8, with local support opening the night. The show is presented by Axelrad Beer Garden, and it's a free one.
Teddy & The Rough Riders are a Nashville-based cosmic country-rock band led by songwriters Ryan Jennings and Jack Quiggins. They came up through Nashville's DIY rock scene, and you can still hear that garage-rock energy running through their songs. They blend it with classic country storytelling to land on a psych-tinged, road-worn Americana sound—country and rock that doesn't stay in one lane.
The venue is Axelrad, located at 1517 Alabama St in Houston. It's housed in the premises of a former grocery store built by the Axelrad family in the early 1920s, and the family continues that tradition as an open and welcoming place for all. The garden there plays video art, film screenings, live music, events, and festivals.
