Afternoon tea experience with Italian-inspired bites and fine teas at Hotel Granduca, featuring refined savoury and sweet indulgences.
Tea d'Alba is back at Hotel Granduca in Uptown, running Friday through Sunday from noon to 2 PM. It's the reimagined version of the hotel's old afternoon tea, brought back as a celebration of Italian elegance and Southern luxury inside the newly renovated Alba room. The whole idea is to linger the way you would in a grand Italian villa: tiered trays of refined savory bites and sweet indulgences, each with a signature Italian twist, paired with fine teas from Dammann Frères and Smith Teamaker.
Executive Chef Maurizio Ferrarese is the one behind the menu. On the savory side, you'll find things like roasted mushroom profiterole puffs with goat cheese and black truffles and prosciutto di Parma pastry crisps with lemon ricotta. The sweets lean into the classics: tiramisu, cannoli, and lemon curd tarts. If you're not in the mood for tea, there are signature cocktails inspired by tea and Italy's vineyards, like the Langhe Bloom and the Nebbiolo Negroni, along with prosecco and champagne pairings.

It's a family-friendly setup, too. There's a smaller menu for younger guests, so it works as a slow afternoon with kids as much as a quiet one without them. The experience is held at Alba, inside Hotel Granduca at 1080 Uptown Park Blvd. in Houston. It runs Friday through Sunday, noon to 2 PM, starting at $79 per guest and $39 for children under 8.
