Susan Hickman

Susan Hickman plays Lil' Outriggers Hula Bar And Grill on Tuesday, October 6, starting at 6 PM. She's a Houston native and an award-winning Texas country artist, and this is one of the many dates she works into a touring schedule that often runs over 200 shows a year.

Her career spans more than 26 years of professional touring, and she's a Texas CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. You might also recognize her from Season 27 of NBC's The Voice. She describes her live performances as being built on authenticity, strong vocals, and a real connection with the audience, and she's just as comfortable in an intimate listening room as she is in a packed venue, a festival, or a corporate event.

Her repertoire pulls from country, blues, and Americana, and she doesn't stick to one instrument — she plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, and fiddle. That range means the set can shift from a country ballad to a bluesy number or a more Americana-leaning tune, and she handles the instruments herself. It's a good way to see how those different styles sit together in one night.

If you're planning to go, the show is at Lil' Outriggers Hula Bar And Grill, 822 Clear Lake Rd, Clear Lake Shores, TX 77565, on Tuesday, October 6, at 6 PM.
