A family-friendly 5k/10k race with a kids dash, chip timing, and awards, suitable for all fitness levels.
Spooky Sprint Houston takes over the Kingdom Builders Center Event Venue on Saturday, October 24, with 5k and 10k options on the table. It's a family-friendly race, and the organizers describe it as welcoming to every pace and fitness level, so it's as much for people who want to time their personal best as for those who just want to get moving on a Saturday morning. The whole thing is built around an encouraging, affordable, and inclusive community for runners of all comers.
Every registration comes with a designer shirt, a custom medal, chip-timing with live results, free photos, and free snacks waiting at the finish line. If you're bringing kids, there's a Kids Dash that kicks off at 7:55 AM, just before the main events. The National Anthem and the official race start follow at 8:00 AM. Packet pickup runs from 6:30 to 7:45 AM, so you've got a good window to get your gear and settle in before the starting gun.

One detail to keep in mind: you have to register by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before race day to guarantee your shirt. If you're signing up with kids, there's youth-based pricing for the 5k and 10k—$17 for runners 12 and under. Between the Kids Dash, the chip-timing, and the post-race snacks, it's set up as a full morning for the whole family.
