A car show and culture festival featuring 200+ custom cars, live performances, DJs, and a concert by Slim Thug, with Paul Wall as the main feature.
Slim Thug is putting on the King of Cars Car Show & Culture Fest at Reliant Arena on Sunday, November 22. It's a full day that starts at 2 PM, with the awards ceremony at 5 PM and a concert following at 6:30 PM.
The car show is the center of it. More than 200 custom cars will be on display, and the awards ceremony at 5 PM is when the best of them get recognized. Around them, the day fills in with live performances from H-Town legends, DJs, interactive entertainment, gaming, creators, vendors, and family activities. It's built as a one-of-a-kind celebration of Houston culture at the city's historic Reliant Arena.
Slim Thug is the one presenting it, and he's a Houston fixture. Born Stayve Jerome Thomas here in 1982, he worked his way up through mixtape guest verses and Swishahouse releases before starting his own independent label, Boss Hogg Outlawz. He signed to Geffen Records through Star Trak Entertainment and put out his debut album, Already Platinum, on July 12, 2005, which entered the U.S. Billboard 200 at number two. The Boss of All Bosses and Boss Life followed, and he's gone by the names Big Boss of the South and Big Boss of the North. He stands 6'6", and he's bringing that same presence to the stage.
