Concert by the Houston singer-songwriter Sara Van Buskirk, known for her raw vocals and blues and rock'n'roll style.
Sara Van Buskirk plays the Eldorado Ballroom on Thursday, October 15, at 7 PM. She's a Houston singer-songwriter working in blues and rock'n'roll, known for raw, commanding vocals and vivid storytelling. This is a home-city show for her, and it comes at a particular moment in her career: she won the 2026 Houston Blues Challenge as a soloist, and she'll represent the city at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2027.
Her discography stretches back over a decade, starting with her 2010 debut The Place Where You Are. Since then, she's put out the 2020 single "Can We Be Friends?", 2024's "Light Me Up", 2025's "JUST WON'T STOP", and her latest release, "Comfortable Lie". She also crowdfunded more than $20,000 directly from her fanbase to independently release her self-titled debut album, so there's a good amount of material to pull from for a single set.
