Rice Owls women's soccer match against North Texas at Holloway Field, featuring a senior night ceremony.
Rice Owls women's soccer host North Texas at Holloway Field on Thursday, October 15, with kickoff at 6 PM. It's Senior Night, so the Owls are honoring nine seniors during a pregame ceremony that starts at 5:30 PM. If you're planning to be there for that, you'll want to arrive early.
This is the 20th meeting between the two programs, and North Texas holds the edge in the series, 9-5-5. It's also a bit of a milestone year for Rice: the program is celebrating 25 years since its first game on August 31, 2001, and has reached 250 wins along the way. There are a few names to watch on the field, too. Freshman Neerali Kapadia has tied the program record for assists in a single season with 10, and defender Lilly Reuscher made the 2026 Hermann Trophy Watch List. Earlier this season, the Owls pulled off a historic 1-1 draw at No. 15 Florida State, making them the first non-Power 4 team to get a result against FSU since the 2020-21 season.
