Rad Karaoke session featuring performer Amelia at the Axelrad venue in Houston.
Amelia is hosting Rad Karaoke at Axelrad on Friday, October 16, in Houston. It's a karaoke night, so the whole point is that you're the one on the mic rather than just listening to someone else. Amelia runs the session, and the venue is Axelrad, located at 1517 Alabama Street in the 77004 zip code.
If you've never been to a karaoke night like this, it's pretty straightforward: you pick a song, take the stage, and sing it. The "Rad" in the name is the only real framing here, so you're free to lean into whatever you're comfortable with, whether that's a song you've practiced for weeks or something you're pulling off the cuff. Amelia handles the hosting, keeping the night moving and the queue flowing.
Axelrad is a beer garden, so it's the kind of place where you can hang out with a drink in hand and let the night stretch out. It's a casual, open-air setting that works well for a night where the crowd is as much a part of the show as the people singing. You can spend the evening taking turns on the mic or just watching from a table, and the beer garden atmosphere means you can drift in and out as you please.
