Weekly comedy night hosted and curated by Jeff Joe at Axelrad Beer Garden, upstairs in The Attic.
Punchline Mondays is back at Axelrad Beer Garden this Monday, October 5, as part of the venue's weekly comedy schedule. The night is hosted and curated by Jeff Joe, who puts together the lineup and runs the show. It's one of a few comedy nights Axelrad holds throughout the week, and it's free to the public.
If you're already familiar with the comedy scene here, you might recognize Jeff Joe from Punchline Sundays, the open mic he also runs. Both nights take place upstairs in The Attic, and both are free to attend. Between the two, he keeps a comedy presence going at Axelrad on both ends of the weekend.
Axelrad itself is a bit of a Houston landmark. The beer garden occupies the site of a former grocery store built by the Axelrad family in the early 1920s, and the current owners have kept that family tradition of being an open and welcoming place for everyone. Beyond the comedy, the garden hosts video art, film screenings, live music, and festivals, so there's usually more going on around the grounds than just what's happening on stage.
