GLOSSY CO. brings another session of its Canta y Pinta series to Sin Yolanda on Wednesday, October 14, this one themed as a Despechados Ladies Night. It's a three-hour evening that puts painting and singing in the same room, with food and cocktails on the table. The whole thing runs from 7 PM to 10 PM, and check-in starts at 6:30 PM.
The setup is straightforward: you grab a canvas and a drink, and you sing along to the classics that everyone knows a little too well. The organizers pitch it as a night for the creatives, the singers, and the dolidos—those who've been through the wringer and have the songs to prove it. If you're more about the painting than the singing, or vice versa, you can lean into whichever side you like. The session is bilingual, in English and Spanish, so it works whether you're singing in one language or both.
Beyond the canvas and the music, there's food and cocktails to keep you going throughout the night. If you're coming with a group and want something more, bottle service is available upon request. It's a three-hour window, so there's plenty of time to work on your painting and get through a good chunk of the set.

Tickets are $39 for singles and $60 for couples or besties, so it's a bit cheaper if you bring a friend. The night is at Sin Yolanda Houston, 4901 Washington Avenue, Houston, TX 77007, from 7 PM to 10 PM on Wednesday, October 14. One thing to keep in mind: the organizers say there are no refunds.
