Houston rapper Paul Wall performs live at the Reliant Arena, with appearances by Slim Thug, Mike Jones, 399K and Kirko Bangz.
Paul Wall headlines the Reliant Arena on Sunday, November 22, as part of Slim Thug's King of Cars Car Show & Culture Fest. It's a full day in Houston, with the car show and culture fest running throughout, DJs on the decks, and the concert as the main event. The lineup brings together a heavy Houston presence: Paul Wall, Kirko Bangz, 399K, Slim Thug, and Mike Jones.
If you're not already familiar, Paul Wall is a Houston native, born Paul Slayton in 1980. He's one of the few white Southern rappers to build a real following in the region, and he did it through Swishahouse Records and the city's mixtape and party scene. His sound is built on the 'screwed & chopped' style pioneered by the late DJ Screw, that slowed-down, heavy-bass Houston sound. He was half of the power duo The Color Changing Click alongside Chamillionaire, and his work reached a wider audience through Mike Jones' 'Still Tippin'' and GLC's 'Drive Slow' on Kanye West's Late Registration. He's known for his signature grill, his charismatic stage presence, and a Southern rap style that reflects Houston's culture and lifestyle.

The day is structured around the car show, so you can spend the afternoon with the cars before the music takes over. The awards ceremony kicks off at 5 PM, and the concert follows at 6:30 PM. With Slim Thug presenting the whole thing, it's a full-circle Houston afternoon: the cars, the culture, and the music all in one spot. The venue is Reliant Arena, 1 NRG Pkwy, Houston, TX 77054.
